OUR VISION.
At Rowntree Equine Therapy CIC, our vision is to create a space where anyone with a mental or physical disability can experience the healing connection between humans and horses.
We believe in improving lives through accessible, inclusive equine-assisted therapy that nurtures confidence, strength, and emotional wellbeing.
Our Vision.

Rowntree Equine Therapy CIC is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving lives through equine-assisted therapy. By combining the calm and connection of horses with structured therapy programmes, Rowntree will help participants build confidence, physical strength, and emotional wellbeing.
The new Equine Therapy Centre will set a national benchmark for accessibility and inclusivity—designed from the ground up so that everyone, regardless of ability, can participate safely and comfortably. Once operational, the centre is expected to support around 200 individuals each year, offering life-changing opportunities for physical rehabilitation, confidence-building, and social inclusion.
Through partnerships with local organisations such as Portland College, participants will benefit from structured therapy and accredited learning programmes, combining practical skills with wellbeing support.
This pioneering project will transform lives for people with disabilities, mental health challenges, and those from disadvantaged backgrounds—using the healing power of horses to build confidence, wellbeing, and social inclusion.
