At Rowntree CIC, supporting local communities is at the centre of everything we do. We believe that real change starts at grassroots level — by investing in local organisations, clubs, and initiatives that create opportunities, improve wellbeing, and bring people together.
We are proud to be able to give donations to local sports communities that make a genuine difference across the areas they serve. Grassroots sport plays a vital role in building confidence, encouraging inclusion, supporting mental and physical wellbeing, and creating safe, positive environments for people of all ages.
Supporting Southwell Cricket Club
Rowntree CIC is committed to supporting local organisations that improve wellbeing, inclusion, and opportunities for young people.
Our first community contribution was a £500 donation to Southwell Cricket Club to support cricket provision for local junior and adult teams.
Southwell Cricket Club is a friendly and inclusive community cricket club based in Nottingham. The club runs multiple adult teams alongside a thriving junior programme, offering opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to get involved in cricket. The club also places a strong focus on diversity, inclusion, coaching, and youth development.
Grassroots sport plays a huge role in bringing communities together, building confidence, and creating opportunities for people of all ages — and we’re proud to play a small part in supporting that.
Supporting Caithness Women’s FC
Rowntree CIC Scotland is proud to support local grassroots sport across Caithness and the Highlands.
As part of our commitment to giving back to the community, we were delighted to support Caithness Ladies FC with a community donation to help continue creating opportunities for women and girls in football across the region.
Caithness Ladies Football Club is a growing grassroots football club competing in the SWF Highlands and Islands League and has become an important part of the local sporting community. The club provides opportunities for women and girls to participate in football regardless of experience level, helping to encourage confidence, teamwork, resilience, and inclusion.
In rural communities especially, grassroots clubs are often at the heart of community life. They create friendships, improve wellbeing, and provide positive pathways for young people through sport. We are incredibly proud to support a club that is helping inspire the next generation of female athletes across the Highlands.
Investing in Stronger Communities
Whether it’s supporting local cricket in Nottinghamshire or helping create opportunities for women’s football across the Highlands, our goal remains the same: to invest back into the communities that make a difference every single day.
At Rowntree CIC, we believe that even small contributions can help create lasting impact — and we look forward to continuing to support local organisations, clubs, and initiatives that bring people together and improve lives.
